This is a continuation of last week’s story One Way Ticket. I figured Zelda-Rae needed a happy ending. Thanks for reading!
Jonathon had worked at Mr. Tom’s repair shop for ten years.
Ten solid years of, “Yes, sir,” and “No, sir,” and “It’ll be done soon.”
Well no more. He had a wife and a child now.
Zelda-Rae, the prettiest girl in Hollywood.
Found her homeless and pregnant and sad. Took her home.
Claimed that baby as his own. Yes, sirree, cute little thing.
They’d named her Lucky. And she was, too, ’cause now they
were buying Mr. Tom’s repair shop and turning it into a
bistro. Zelda-Rae was learning to read and write,
but those things weren’t as important as the way she could cook.
Well spotted! I debated on centering the story around the little poster on the door. Nice one, and a happy ending too.

I love the tone of voice in this one. I think that repair shop might take some work to turn it into a bistro!

Well done for rescuing Zelda-Rae! Sounds like she’ll a star at the bistro with her cooking (though it’s going to take some work to refurbish that workshop!).

Ah . . a fairy tale ending. He is indeed a prince charming. This has all the touches of something from the Hallmark channel. I have a feeling they have the determination and grit to make the bistro work.

I really liked that sad ending last week, it had a lot of punch.

Hooray for happy endings. I doubt Zelda Rae imagined her cooking would be her ticket out of the gutter when she got on the bus last week. And thank heavens for the Jonathans of the world.
